Festive Spirit - FALL FESTIVALS THAT YOU CAN'T MISS AROUND NEW HAMPSHIRE

Sep 01, 2022 11:13AM ● By KAREN CASSIDY

There is nothing like fall foliage season in New Hampshire. The colors, the crispness of the changing seasons, the endless photo ops, and of course the festivals. Few things go together better with this time of year than Oktoberfests and pumpkins. This year, Loon Mountain’s Oktoberfest and the New Hampshire Pumpkin Festival are situated on different weekends in October so you can easily hit both.

 WHITE MOUNTAIN OKTOBERFEST

Loon Mountain’s Oktoberfest offers views unlike any Oktoberfest you’ve ever seen. It takes place at the Loon Mt. Ski Resort in the White Mountains at the height of fall foliage season so while celebrating Oktoberfest on Loon Mountain, you’ll be able to check two things off your fall to-do list. The Oktoberfest is presented by Samuel Adams and it is the largest in the region. With free admission, there is a long list of fun games and activities besides just eating and drinking. An Oompah band will provide the soundtrack to a stein-hoisting contest, a corn-hole tournament, and a keg toss. There will also be plenty of activities for the kids, most notably, a root beer keg toss. It’s the final week- end of Loon Mountain’s summer attractions after all and they really like to go all out to celebrate! So dress in your finest dirndls and lederhosen and check out this unforgettable Oktoberfest experience.
